WALNUT TURTLES
yield: 20 Turtles
- 2 cups Walnut Pieces
- 36 Caramels
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp Oleo
- 3 tbsp Oleo
- 2/3 cup semi-sweet milk chocolate pieces
Cover baking sheet with wax paper, put walnuts on.
Place carmels in top of double broiler, with oldeo. Set over boiling water. Heat until caramels are completely melted.
Remove from heat; add vanilla and stir until oleo and vanilla are mixed with caramels.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto center of each walnut cluster. Allow to cool.
Melt chocolate with oleo over hot (not boiling) water.
Spread over caramels, allow to set before removing from wax paper.
