A little about Ida

Went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Independence Village; age 80 years. Ida Spiekerman was born on October 5, 1933 to the late Arthur and Francis (Sommer) Spiekerman. She married Herbert C. Stockmeyer on April 11, 1953 and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. She graduated from Reese High School in 1950. She worked at Reese Bank and Trust, and was involved at Christ Lutheran as secretary, and also for St. John’s Lutheran in Grayling for many years. Ida and Herb also enjoyed camping for many years. Especially the last years at Jelly Stone Campground in Grayling. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting and crocheting for her family.

Shortly after her recipe box was found and to honor the her, the happy memories and share with everyone this very special lady; Ida's kitchen was created.
